How Do Blackberry Phones Work?

April 20, 2009

Am thinking of getting a Blackberry phone, but am confused as to how it connects to the internet….is it dependent on wireless access in the area, or does it connect via the telephone service provider (Orange, 02 etc)? Do i pay for being online with it?

I have one it’s fab!!! It connects via EDGE/gprs depends on what has the strongest signal (and not wireless access) you need a data plan and pay so much per month…I can’t put mine down

It’s a phone with features, so you have to have phone service. Although I believe it does support 802.11g service.

It depends on the model. All connect via the network and you need the BlackBerry data add-on. Some (8900, 9000 etc) also use wi-fi.

If you get one you will not be dissapointed ;)

Got something to say?
