How To Transfer Contacts To A Blackberry Storm From A Nokia N95 8gb?

April 16, 2009

I’ve just received a Blackberry Storm 9500. As lovely as it is i can’t seem to transfer my contacts from my Nokia N95 phone to my Blackberry.
I have my contacts saved to my Nokia N95 as i have far too many to save to my sim.
How can i transfer my contacts off my Nokia phone onto my Blackberry?

Ok – It’s a bit fiddly but this is what I have done for a few clients.

I created a new Windows user account on my PC, Outlook (I do hope you have it!!) is blank on that account. I loaded the Nokia software and synched the contacts between the N95 and the blank Outlook, all contacts going over to Outlook.

Then I loaded the BlackBerry Desktop Manager software and synched the BlackBerry with the Outlook contacts with all contacts going from Outlook to the BlackBerry.

If anyone knows of a more simple way then do let us know but this does work as long as you have Outlook or a similar PIM installed on your PC.

I would guess this is the way to do it with the G-1 also? can I sync it to my gmail account and do it from their like the G-1?

@happy8433 – I know there is a sync option for Yahoo but I don’t think there is for Gmail. If you could sync Gmail to Outlook you could do the same. There is also a migration wizard for Windows mobile devices and PDAs in the desktop manager software. maybe they will do the same for the Android platform soon too.

I have been tearing my hair out trying to find a solution – yours helped the most. Thank you.
