Yes, that’s the downside to setting up the way that I suggest – you can only choose one “Reply To” address on the BlackBerry email address.

What I tend to do if this is required is to use the BlackBerry account as a “middle man” for the most important email address and then add the secondary email account separately on the BlackBerry – that way emails will be sent from the correct addresses.

In addition, the technique of creating a blackberry account as a “middle man” here presumably only works if you have only one other account?
My client has 2 completely different business mail accounts coming into the BB and he must reply to them from the particular mail box. As far as I can see (in O2) only one bb address can be added so the systems would not work. Correct?

Hi Ryan

The BlackBerry logs in every 5, 10, 15 minutes or so to the mail box. If your server is doing a back up or down for any other reason and the BlackBerry can’t log in it will “unvalidate” the account after so many tries.

You menationed at the end of the article “You also don’t suffer from invalidated email accounts on the BlackBerry because the server was down.” I have been experiencing this on my clients O2 accounts, what causes this? Is it something on my server i.e a reboot?
