T-Mobile Mobile Broadband

February 26, 2009

Sometimes you need a fast internet connection, whilst out, on your laptop.

On the 3G BlackBerries it’s not too bad as you can use them as a modem but 3G alone is not lightening fast and it restricts use as a phone which can be a pain.

T-Mobile offer a package called Mobile Broadband Plus in the UK and for just £12.77 plus VAT you get excellent HSDPA coverage (mobile broadband),  and a fair use allowance of 3 Gigabytes of data per month.  The fair use policy is a good one because whilst 3 Gig is a healthy allowance, on the odd times that you might exceed it you won’t be faced with unexpected charges for data. Only if you are regularly going well over that amount will they ask you to upgrade your plan (although I’ve never known it to happen).

At the time of writing they are bundling a free Huwaei E110 USB data stick which is a fantastic, self installing device. It also has a slot for a memory card so can double up as a memory stick for backing up files.

Call me for more info, on 01204 595335 or use the T-Phone contact form here.
